About the adventure
You’re dancing to a relentless techno beat in the press of warm, sweaty bodies. You’re in the attic of a squat house, walls covered in graffiti, the bare concrete floor stained with mysterious liquids. You’re drunk and high, coming down from the euphoria of becoming part of the writhing crowd.A woman brushes past you, her hand cold on your shoulder. You watch her as she presses between people and slips behind the DJ’s table. She doesn’t look that old, dressed like any of the bleary junkies grinding their bodies against you – at least, not until she notices you watching her. She smiles, and in that second, she seems to hold knowledge beyond anything that could be conceived on this dance floor.Perhaps you have experienced a moment like this in real life. You’ve noticed a compelling stranger, exchanging a moment of flirtation or terror with someone you’ve never seen again. They were in your life only for a fleeting moment, yet you still remember them years later.In the real world, a moment like this is nothing but chance. Who was the woman who brushed past you? Maybe she’s the next DJ, going to prepare for her set, her hand cold because she was having a smoke outside. In real life, everything has an explanation. In the World of Darkness, things aren’t always that simple.On the surface, it looks like our world. The office where you work, the school you attended as a child, and the retirement home where you visit your grandmother are all the same in our world and in the World of Darkness.Once you go deeper into the frayed, abandoned, and hidden corners, the real nature of the World of Darkness starts to emerge. It’s a world with secrets, deep wells of darkness – and you can stumble into them if you follow the clues. Perhaps that’s what the cold hand of the woman at the illegal techno party really was: a sign you can follow, leaving your comfortable life behind and entering a secret world of terrors.

How to prepare
I would love it if players have a camera and mic, but I understand the nerves of trying to be on camera, so a mic is fine. We will be using Alchemy, so an account will be needed. Roll20 can be found on Alchemy. If you have the rules, feel free to study up, but no prep other than thinking over the kind of character you want to play will be needed. I will provide tokens and other resources for play on Alchemy.
What I provide
I will offer the VTT, custom maps and tokens, and all resource books needed to play.My GM style is very sandbox-oriented, and I work to make the game as inclusive, kind, and respectful as possible. I honor all players with respect and encourage players to only role-play or speak at their comfort level. My style of player conflict resolution is patient, and I will discuss ways for players to get along. I am extremely patient and willing to take in player input. I also work to value all player mindsets, and I am always open to questions. I am also willing to talk through any issues to make sure that you are getting the very best gameplay possible.I also work diligently to ensure that YOUR ideas are implemented into the game. This is our story, not just mine, so please share your thoughts, and know that I am willing to take in creative ideas.If you are scared to join, I will talk things through with you, listen with intention, and work with you to ensure your support. We all have to start somewhere, and it is my job to help walk you through things.If you are worried about joining and experiencing ADHD, Autism, or any other diagnosis, please know I will not judge you for that. My environment is meant to be safe, sensory-friendly, and empathic. I do not judge you and I will work to make sure no one else does.
Gameplay details
We will allow players to choose the character of their choice in a character introduction aspect to explain the game.Additionally, we will provide breaks for snacks, movement, and time to step away if the topics are too stimulating. Additionally, I will work to bring in all elements of narration and character arcs players want to see in the game. We will also have to debrief time to discuss what players like and what they would like to see in future games. We will work to honor all sensory needs in game and during breaks.We will also check in emotionally with players to ensure all content is suitable and not veer too far into too much gore, violence, or disturbing images. We will also keep communication flowing between us so that all opinions are heard and valued. Furthermore, I understand that some personal issues may arise, and because of that, we will make sure to adjust to any accommodations and needed support within reason and triggers are honored.

How will character creation work
We will devote time at the beginning to helping players choose characters based on what they most want to play. We will start at the lowest level possible for ease of play, and characters will be pre-generated. However, you can choose the character of your choice. This is also your time to do some escapism, so if you want to change something or want to try something new, we will figure it out. I do not believe in scolding, mocking, or judging my players for choosing a character and then deciding they want to try something different in the future.I will have resource books provided. We will be using the books provided for this event. We will discuss things openly and thoroughly so that everyone is supported as we go. This is everyone game and we all deserve to be creative
